A catalogue of a unique exhibition commemorating the relationship of Modern India with the United Kingdom, with whom they have shared a long history. It displays the growth of Modern & Contemporary Art in India. The International Institute of Fine Arts (IIFA) provides quality education to students in India, in various fields of Art and Design. IIFA has international recognition and established alliances with institutions around the world, including the University of the Arts London, LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore, New York University and the New York Academy of Art, USA. In an effort to promote contemporary Indian art across the globe, IIFA has organised annual art events in various countries. Art displays have been held at Tate Britain, London; the UNESCO Global Forum on 'Power of Peace' held in Bali, Indonesia and the Ueno Royal Museum, Tokyo. 'Indiart 2007, London' was held at the oldest parliament in the world, the House of Lords. The show brought a glimpse of modern India by displaying works of contemporary Indian art by several renowned and up-and-coming Indian artists. This is the catalogue of that milestone exhibition curated by Kalpana Shah, Founder of Tao Art Gallery, in collaboration with S. K. Modi, FRSA, President, International Institute of Fine Arts, India.
