Diamonds in the Sky

Constructed at a crossroads of culture, Rachna Devidayal's work is a blend of East and West. The sheer vitality of India has been an enormous influence, as has been the considered approach of Occidental design. Another significant stimulus in her work is Moroccan culture, having spent much of the last decade in Casablanca, living with in a mansion set squarely in the middle of a sprawling shantytown. The use of colour is the single most important feature that runs as a common thread through her artworks.
